Welcome!
We are Sarah & Sander, a happy yellow duo from Belgium!
We have been traveling together for the past 4 years, but kept on dreaming of a bigger and longer adventure… This year (2016) we have finally put our words into action! We applied for a working holiday visa to Taiwan. This allows us to stay here for one year, while exploring its neighboring countries!
We are the kind of people that will set an alarm clock in order not to miss the sunrise, who will wait endlessly for the perfect shot, or linger around long enough to catch that golden hour. You get it, we are big on photography! We hope to get better and better with each trip. So you won’t see a lot of personal photographs or selfies on our blog. This is where we will share our stories, accompanied by our best shots finished off with some useful tips!
Enjoy!

Actually it’s my parents who infected me with the travel bug, although I think nowadays they’re maybe a little less happy about that ;) They took me on my first ‘big’ travels outside Europe. I was about 15 when we went to Thailand. I still remember writing down some useful Thai phrases in my very first travel notebook :) A few trips & years later, it was back to Asia, this time: China! A journey that fueled the love for Asia even more… Back home I took up studies in Eastern languages and cultures and was lucky to be able to return to the land of stinky tofu. I still have vivid memories of my time Shanghai, a most unforgettable year!
Well, all other patients ‘suffering’ from this ‘virus’ know there’s only one cure! Sooner rather than later it starts biting again! I was toying with the idea of going traveling for a longer time and things started to get really exciting when I found out Sander was also up for this crazy idea!

32 – Mobile Developer – Lindy hopper – Crossfitter – Piano & Juggling Lover
I’ve always had a knack for all things internet so I started my first job as web developer. As soon as the first real smartphones started to appear I shifted focus and began developing mobile apps. After several years of working as an employee, destiny forced me to persuade my longtime dream of starting as a freelance developer. This lead me to partner up with the founders of Next Apps last year. Together we’re building a company fun to work for or collaborate with.
Technology has always been a constant in my life but over the years I’ve also spent quite some time juggling, playing piano, running and lindy hop dancing.
One thing I came to realize is that I love change. I like to dive into something new, go for it and feed my interest as long until something else comes along.
I guess that’s also partially the reason why I like traveling so much. Experiencing the new, the different, the strange, the beauty and the ugly. For years I’ve been silently dreaming of traveling long and far away but it’s not as easy (at least for me) to start doing like another hobby.
This blog represents my journey towards the goal of seeing as much of this world as possible.
